Just did a Podcast for Josh Rivedal who put this book together. His questions were thought provoking today and got me to open up a little bit for the interview. This book should be read by all…
See below for my previous introduction and synopsis of book
I am proud to say I am a part of this book and after reading it can highly recommend it to anyone with a disorder, a loved one or anyone interested in mental health. Victoria here to announce that my second book, which is not really a sequel but more of a spiritual awareness while having this disorder, is in the works to be published by Covenant Books! Very excited that I won’t have to do the publicity and whatnot. Also, have third book in the works.
It took me a year to write the first one, of which excerpts from it are in the second book. And it took me a total of 8 years for the second one and this third one it is taking me one week to put it all together along with some writing I have been doing for about 2 years.
Don’t know if any of it will sell but hopefully because finances are bleak right now:(
But I trust in God in all things so His Holy Will be done!
Victoria here. I received an email from this gentleman who amazingly just published his first book on Amazon. For me writing a book was not an easy task so kudos to you George! The book is about the topic of living with schizophrenia for ten years. The book entitled, “Ten Years” by George Matthews recounts his life after his first hospitalization.
It shares stories of his time studying for his Masters in Germany then working in Thailand for a large Non-Government NGO.
The book, a mid-life memoir, also shares stories in Canada and what he faced with the mental health system, but also what he has faced in the workforce maintaining his privacy regarding his condition as a professional.
George has offered to answer any questions about his experiences, so feel free to write to me and I will post them here or pass them on to him.
To see the book on Amazon you can search “Ten Years by George Matthews” or follow this link: http://www.amazon.ca/dp/B071G6X8QL
Stay tuned for its sequel out in 2018!
